- COF CoaXPress Over Fiber Range Extender is a flagship CXP2.0 fiber extension solution, consisting of Device Side (CXP2_COF_4D) and Host Side (CXP2_COF_4H). It realizes bidirectional conversion between CXP electrical and optical signals, breaking the transmission distance limit of coaxial cables.

Safety Warnings (Must Read)
- Do not open the device without permission, otherwise the warranty will be void and internal components may be damaged.
- Do NOT hot-plug CXP cables or fiber modules. Connect all cables first before powering on to avoid interface damage.
- Ensure sufficient power capacity when using PoC, total power shall not exceed the rated limit to avoid abnormal operation.
- Do NOT input over-rated voltage: Device side only supports 10V-14V DC, over-voltage will burn the device.
- Avoid water, direct sunlight, strong EMI and vibration during storage/operation to ensure service life.
- Keep fiber interfaces clean; use ESD wrist strap when plugging fiber modules to prevent electrostatic damage.
Quick Start Guide
- Hardware Connection: Connect Device Side to CXP camera via Micro BNC, Host Side to frame grabber via Micro BNC; interconnect both sides with SFP+ fiber modules and fiber cables.
- Power Configuration: Connect 12V DC to Device Side, 12V DC or PoC power to Host Side; verify voltage and polarity are correct.
- PoC Setup: Enable PoC switches for required channels, match camera power requirements with module output.
- Power On: Turn on Host Side then Device Side, check LED indicators for normal channel status.
- Function Verification: Launch frame grabber software, detect CXP camera, validate image acquisition and control with no frame loss or latency.
- System Deployment: Fix the device on-site, protect and fix cables, complete deployment after full function validation.
